Kearney Youth Hear Gospel - Update from Josh Erickson
We are pleased to inform you that although we moved from Lexington, things are going well and we praise God for raising up faithful leaders there. The gospel is being preached in Kearney. YRTC provides us with a platform to impact families from across the state. Many are coming to faith and receiving hope in the midst of intense struggles.
Please pray for these youth! The cry of the fatherless is being heard! God has been giving us a burden for the fatherless in Nebraska. We are trusting God to raise up 1000 men to intercede on behalf of the fatherless generation. We know our great God has a solution to this problem. We are seeking Him alone for the answer.
In January, I took on another part-time job as the Pastor of the Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center in Kearney. It has been very challenging and rewarding. I preach every Sunday, teach Bible study every Thursday, conduct individual counseling sessions at the request of the youth, and meet with every youth to conduct an entrance interview. In September, the state approved my job becoming full-time, with the addition of teaching fatherhood classes two days per week. I enjoy working with these men. I also continue to do motivational speaking and love to help coach wrestling at the UNK.
Taylor Ranch weekends continue to impact lives. God set men free from bondage. God brought many into the Kingdom. God equipped men for a life of service. The name of Jesus was exalted as we worshiped in unity.
