Omaha Rapid Response Haiti Update
A large contingent of ORR’s leadership traveled to Haiti on April 9th as we went to continue the work we have been doing there as well as strategizing where ORR’s activities in Haiti will continue. Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and one of the poorest on the entire earth. Our aim is to bring hope and the love of God to these precious people by working to alleviate suffering. However, our goal is not just to help them over the short term, but to help them build for a brighter future them and their children. We were able to work with the feeding program of Emory and Mary Wilson, provide for the repair and construction of houses damaged in last years floods, we worked with local fisherman and were also able to work with the deaf.
